St. John’s is located at the corner of Old York Road (611) and Melrose Avenue. Parking is available in the gravel parking lot on Stratford Avenue, in the handicapped-accessible parking lot on Melrose Avenue, and along Melrose Avenue itself. The church building is wheelchair-accessible from the Melrose Avenue lot.

People of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds are welcome in worship!

St. John’s is preparing for Christmas with seven weeks of the church season of Advent! This ancient custom helps us reflect on what it means to wait for Jesus and to long for “new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness is at home.” Our worship guides us to find stillness in the midst of our busy lives. We also gather for evening prayer with quiet and candlelight each Thursday before Christmas at 7:00 pm.

Handel’s Messiah: December 3, 3:00 pm

On December 3 at 3:00 pm, our Chancel Choir will perform Part I of Handel’s Messiah under the direction of organist and music director Charles Griffin, Jr. The performance is free and open to all! Join us for the holiday tradition of hearing this beautiful music of hope and joy. A free-will offering to support the music program will be collected.

Fall 2017 Learning Hour: The Lord’s Prayer

This fall, our weekly Learning Hour following worship will explore the Lord’s Prayer through scripture, conversation, art, and food. All ages are welcome — every generation has something to teach and something to learn!
