St. John’s is located at the corner of Old York Road (Route 611) and Melrose Avenue. Parking is available in the gravel parking lot on Stratford Avenue, in the handicapped-accessible parking lot on Melrose Avenue, and along Melrose Avenue itself. The church building is wheelchair-accessible from the Melrose Avenue lot.
People of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds are welcome in worship! We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
Beginning on April 15, our weekly Learning Hour will explore the ELCA’s new draft social statement on women and justice. Learn more about the statement here. The Learning Hour meets at 11:30 after worship.
Join us for worship on Sunday, April 22 at 10:00 am for the Chancel Choir’s performance of Part III of G. F. Handel’s famous oratorio Messiah. Part III focuses on God’s resurrection promises and the resurrection of Jesus; it will be our primary form of proclamation during the service, which also includes scripture and communion. We look forward to this joyful and worshipful music for the Easter season.
Is your congregation, mission start, or nonprofit in need of space to worship and work? Are you looking for a venue for your wedding reception, baby shower, or retirement party? Long-term and one-time space-sharing agreements are available at St. John’s for affordable donations. Contact our office to learn more.
